Jožin z bažin (1978) by Ivan Mládek.
The song was written in 1977 by Czech Ivan Mládek for his “Banjo band” and there aren’t many people in the Czech Republic and Slovakia who didn’t hear it at least once. The song itself is a parody of medieval legend where a knight kills a horrible monster and for that receives half of the kingdom + the princess. Here the monster is actually Moravian cannibal Jožin living in the swamps (Jožin z bažin, Joey from the swamps), whose diet mainly consists of people from Prague. The chairman of the local farming collective (JZD) decides to reward the person who gets them rid of Jožin with his daughter and half of JZD. The hero of the song then uses a cropduster plane. It’s super effective! Jožin is then sold to zoo.

Lyrics:
English - When I Was Drafted as a Soldier
When they took me in the army
they shaved my head completely
I looked as if I were a moron
as all others around me me-me-me
as all others around me
They confined me to my barracks
And began to instruct me
How to be a proper soldier,
how to protect my country- try-try-try
how to protect my country
In the room after we had lights out
I snuggled against the wall
I blubbered out so nicely
for my love who I recalled-called-called-called
for my love who I recalled
When she came to see me in six months
I had a pneumonia bout
In the hall someone always came
so then nothing came about out-out-out
so then nothing came about
Do not cry, oh these eyes of mine
There´s nothing else she could do
A young girl needs to find love
so love she helped herself toto-to-to
so love she helped herself to
It was then in front of the gate
she met a big-star major
He said that his quarters were just free
so she let him go with her-her-her-her
so she let him go with her
Why take interest in a soldier
when his girl has let him down
Goodbye, Mr. Fráňa Šrámek
This little song´s over now-now-now-now
How on earth did you like it?
It´s nothing special anyhow

By Five o'clock at dawn
I'll be standing by a wall
Lastly just for fun
I'll drink vodka to us all
I'll tear the ribbon from my eyes
So I could look towards the sun
And then I'll realize
You're my love my only one
By Five o'clock at dawn
The priest will come to me
I'll tell him that he's wrong
It's not heaven that I seek
That I lived the life I lived
And I'll live it that same way
No matter how much I sinned
No matter how much I pay
By Five o'clock at dawn
The lieutenant will shout "Fire!"
A pity that the days are gone
When I showed you my desire
I'll bid farewell to the sun
And my heart will feel no mirth
For I'm leaving you, my love
Leaving you on this earth
By Five o'clock at dawn
Day will ease the night its fall
With no where to hide no where to run
I'll be standing by a wall
So keep a candle for me lit
And hide away your grief
I beg you don't forget
Don't forget and live
By Five o'clock at dawn
I'll be standing by a wall
Lastly just for fun
I'll drink vodka to us all
I'll tear the ribbon from my eyes
So I could look towards the sun
