Jozin z bazin

One of my favourites RoS videos.

Jožin z bažin (1978) by Ivan Mládek.
The song was written in 1977 by Czech Ivan Mládek for his “Banjo band” and there aren’t many people in the Czech Republic and Slovakia who didn’t hear it at least once. The song itself is a parody of medieval legend where a knight kills a horrible monster and for that receives half of the kingdom + the princess. Here the monster is actually Moravian cannibal Jožin living in the swamps (Jožin z bažin, Joey from the swamps), whose diet mainly consists of people from Prague. The chairman of the local farming collective (JZD) decides to reward the person who gets them rid of Jožin with his daughter and half of JZD. The hero of the song then uses a cropduster plane. It’s super effective! Jožin is then sold to zoo.

Awesome vid! :-D When I read your description of the original song, I wondered how that would translate into an RoS vid, but it worked really effectively! Gulnar works perfectly as the monster - as does Robert of Huntingdon as the knight and Marion as the princess. Very clever work! I can see why this is one of your favourite RoS vids.

I love this video rusty_armour. I roared with laughter when I saw it for the first time. Sheriff as the chairman of JZD. :-D And Robert of Huntingdon´s horse as a car Škoda.
