- Veterinary - ability to care for a sick or wounded animal
- Zoology - study of animals.

Alchemy:  
- alchemy - science of magical transmutations
- chemistry - study of matter, compounds, magical substances
- geology - science of earth study - oils, rocks, metal ores, minerals
-metallurgy- study of metals


Ancient runes: 
Classwork/homework includes plenty of practice interpreting runes. The O.W.L. involves translating something written in runes into English.    

   
Arithmancy:          
Arithmancy is a branch of magic that is concerned with the magical properties of numbers
In this class, students are expected to write essays and to be able to understand complicated number charts, which are part of their homework

Divination:  
this course covers reading tea leaves, palmistry, crystal balls, tarot
