To be honest I have b) in my mind when I made it. (Maybe I was swayed by fanfic "The enchanted circle") *g* But after that I become concious that a) is the most likely explanation.
Actually, right after I left that previous comment, I looked at the artwork again and realized that b) would work just as well. In fact, in some ways, it probably works better because Gisburne does have this rather haughty expression on his face and Will looks almost predatory. *g*
I think there's nothing wrong with having more than one interpretation of a piece of artwork. It makes the artwork even richer. :-)
